Raymond P. Jacques, CFP, is the founder and President of New England Schooner, Inc. An industry veteran of more than 30 years, Ray specializes in creating custom financial strategies for individual and institutional investors. Today, he oversees the investment and management of over $500 million in client assets.
After graduating with his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Maine, Ray went on to earn his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professional designation and is a Registered and Licensed Financial Planner.* The recipient of many industry accolades and honors, Ray was most recently recognized in 2014 by Registered Rep Magazine as one of the Top 40 Financial Advisors in the U.S., was featured in Kiplinger’s Magazine, and has been a multiple time contributor on CNBC’s Squawk Box.
Outside of his professional career, Ray is most passionate about hockey and advancing the USA Hockey Foundation’s mission to, “Strengthen American hockey by providing support in participation, opportunity, safety, player development, education and commemoration.” He has been inducted into the University of Maine’s Athletic Hall of Fame, honoring him for his award-winning 1981 to 1985 career, playing Right Wing and serving as legendary University of Maine Hockey Coach Shawn Walsh’s first Captain. In 1982, Ray earned his chance to wear his Country’s colors playing for Team USA’s National Junior Team.
Ray and his wife, Michelle live in North Reading, MA with their two children, Jessica and Raymond Jr. When he isn’t working at the office or spending time with this family, Ray has enjoyed donating his time and resources to various non-profit organizations over many years:
